Your first memory palace

A memory palace is a place you know well, walked in a fixed order. Picture something at each stop and it stays put. Here is a small home with six stops: leave an object at each, then walk back and see how many you remember.

Illustrated floor plan of a small home with six numbered stops along a route

Six stops. Six objects. One walk back.

  1. Place. Leave a silly object at each stop on the plan.
  2. Walk. Go through the house once in your head.
  3. Recall. Say what was at each stop, in order.

About two minutes. No account, nothing saved.
